Do Not Call & SMS Opt-Out
How to stop receiving phone calls or SMS messages from us - and from the installer partner we shared your information with.
Effective: May 27, 2026 Version: v2-2026-05 Applies to: US + Canada
In plain language
- You can opt out by email, phone, web form, or text reply.
- We process opt-outs within 10 business days (FCC requirement since April 2025).
- Each installer partner has its own DNC process - opting out from us doesn't auto-opt-out from them.
- You can also register on the US National DNC Registry or the Canadian National DNCL - links below.
↳ The plain-language summary is not a substitute for the full
document below. If they conflict, the full document controls.
1. What this page is for
If you submitted a quote request through solarinstallquotes.com and now want to stop receiving phone calls, SMS messages, or marketing emails - this page tells you how.
Opting out here does not remove you from emergency, transactional, or service communications that we are legally required to send (e.g., a confirmation of your opt-out).
2. How to opt out (any of these works)
1. Reply STOP (or QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, OPT OUT, END, REVOKE - any reasonable variant) to any SMS we send. We honor the opt-out instantly and send one final confirmation message.
2. Email privacy@solarinstallquotes.com with subject "Do Not Call." Include the phone number and (if you can) the email you submitted. We confirm within 24 hours.
3. Phone. Call our toll-free opt-out line at {TODO-LEGAL: 888 number TBD}. Verbal opt-outs are logged the same day.
4. Online form. Use our DNC request form {TODO-LEGAL: form route - recommended /privacy-request or /opt-out}. Confirmation sent within 1 hour.
Under FCC rules effective April 11, 2025, we are required to honor opt-out via any reasonable method - not just a specific keyword - and to process within 10 business days. Most opt-outs we process within 24 hours.
3. Installer partner opt-out
If you submitted a quote request, your contact information was shared with exactly one installer partner from our installer partner page. That partner has its own DNC process.
Opting out from us does NOT automatically opt you out from the partner - you must contact them separately. Each partner is bound by their installer agreement with us to: (a) scrub against the federal + state DNC registries, (b) honor opt-out via any reasonable method within 10 business days, (c) suppress your number across all of their campaigns, not just the one tied to your inquiry.
For the partner you were matched with, see our installer partner page for their direct contact information.
4. National registries
US - National Do Not Call Registry. Call 1-888-382-1222 from the phone you want to register, or visit donotcall.gov. Federal law requires telemarketers to honor your number 31 days after registration.
Canada - National DNCL. Call 1-866-580-DNCL (3625) or visit lnnte-dncl.gc.ca. Registration is free and lasts indefinitely.
Existing-business-relationship (EBR) caveat. Submitting a quote request creates a 90-day "inquiry exemption" under federal TCPA rules (extended to 18 months if you become a customer). During that window, contact related to your inquiry is permitted even if your number is on a national list. To stop those, use one of the opt-out methods on this page - registering on a national list does not, by itself, override the EBR.
State-specific DNC lists. Several states (FL, OK, MO, IN, MS) operate their own DNC lists with stricter rules than the federal registry. Our installer-partner agreement requires scrubbing against all of them.
5. Our process & timing
Within 24 hours of receiving your opt-out, we tag your record in our database as DNC.
Within 10 business days (the FCC SLA per the April 2025 rules), your number is permanently suppressed from any future call or SMS list we generate. In practice we hit this within 24 hours.
Within 30 days, on your separate written request, we delete your contact information entirely. Consent records (timestamp, IP, user-agent, disclosure version hash) are retained for the 4-year TCPA statute-of-limitations window even after deletion, per FCC consent-retention expectations.
One confirmation message. When you opt out via SMS, we are permitted by the CTIA Common Short Code Monitoring Handbook to send one final confirmation message. You will not receive further marketing SMS from us after that.
